You can link your web page to other web pages you have created, or to pages created by other people.
Links are what make the World Wide Web go around.
There are several different kinds of links you can make:

Absolute
- jumps to pages outside of a particular web site
- called “external” links
- links to any other web page in the world usually without permission
- has a different domain name from the web site it is found in

Relative
- jumps to other pages within the same web site
- called “local” or “internal” links
- has the same domain name as the one in the address bar of the browser
